It's happening today!
Up to 10,000 fully vaccinated racegoers will be descending on Flemington for the great race.
It will be warm trackside today as the forecast for Melbourne will be sunny and is tipped to reach a top of 28 degrees.
As Victoria hits the 80% mark of double dose vaccinations, the race this year will at least have a crowd to cheer the ponies home, last year the cup was run in front of zero racegoers due to COVID.
The Melbourne Cup will run at 3pm
